Malahat Solutions
Operational validation of technologies with dual-use capabilities.
With a deep water port, inlets, NATO designated underwater range, and mountainous interior, the Malahat Solutions test area is the ideal location for MILTECH, climate tech, or sustainability prototype operational testing
Operating with a robust test and evaluation division, the organization places a special emphasis on the operational validation of technologies with dual-use capabilities:
The Marauder is a drop-in integrated kit that enables bidirectional Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) energy storage and transforms gas-powered boats into hybrids. This kit includes a bidirectional V2G systems and a hydrogen generation option, using a Proton Exchange Member (PEM) hydrogen generator to enhance combustion effectiveness of combustion engine (emission reduction and range extension).
By significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, the Marauder decreases reliance on fossil fuels and supports renewable energy use. Additionally, it enhances grid stability by allowing idle vessels at marinas to serve as energy storage and backup systems. The integration of smart grid and AI applications ensures efficient energy management, real-time optimization, and reduced GHG emissions in off-grid applications.
The Marauder offers substantial environmental benefits, including a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by replacing gas-powered systems with hybrid and electric alternatives. Additional benefits include water conservation due to reduced water usage in hydrogen production compared to traditional fuel processing and waste reduction from the maintenance and operation of cleaner energy systems. By leveraging innovative clean energy integration and hydrogen production, the Marauder supports measurable GHG reductions and aligns with new hydrogen and green energy tax credits.
